Tony is an engineer by training (M.Eng, Cornell University) and was on the mobile system software development team at Mediatek and MStar Semiconductor. At ITIC his sectors of focus are semiconductor, system and machine intelligence, and ICT.
What’s the greatest value you bring to startups?
I have a technical and product background, and that’s still what I do best – helping teams fine-tune their tech and product positioning based on larger market trends. But I also love the financial and business side.
To you, what’s the most important trait of a good VC?
Knowing intimately the space you’re investing in, and being able to see business value and risks that others miss.
