What’s the greatest value you bring to startups?
Having been an analyst who spotted trends – from market movements to longer-term megatrends – I bring a constant “outsider perspective” to companies. I also have wide personal networks and relationships in ITRI, which help in leveraging their R&D resources.
To you, what’s the most important trait of a good VC?
Deep domain knowledge in specific sectors, yet an openness to ways of thinking that break with traditional molds. And yes, industry network helps also.
